At DMWIMS, the insurance department process claims both in corporate and retail policies in addition to providing cashless facilities round the clock. The claims are processed with greater efficiency/quality (delivery of services) and improved standardization (procedure and due diligence)
There is no urban agglomeration inside Wayanad district as compared to any other district in Kerala as Wayanad is only 3.79% urbanized. It is estimated that there are about 4 lakh tribal people living in Kerala and about half of this population has made the interiors of Wayanad their home. Wayanad is one among the 35 most distressed and backward district in the country. Considering all these factors and to provide the best medical care to the less privileged and marginalized, DMWIMS has been empaneled with RSBY, ECHS, and KARUNYA. Empanelment of ESI scheme and Tamilnadu Government Health scheme are being pursued.
HELP – Employee Insurance Scheme
With a nominal contribution from the staff and equal contribution from management to the scheme, all employees, their spouse, 2 dependent children and employees dependent parents are covered (floating) for an amount of Rs.100,000/ per annum.
