With the support of an excellent faculty and with all modern equipment and facilities, WIMS shall soon be a destination for quality medical education in the country, where leaders for the future of the country are nurtured.In line with the desire to provide quality healthcare closer to greater numbers of people, the teaching hospital of WIMS will improve healthcare infrastructure at Wayanad where the existing doctor-population ratio is 1:1600. The hospital will cater to healthcare needs of people from Wayanad and neighborhood districts in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
50 acres of self-contained campus with medical college, teaching hospital, residential facilities and ancillary buildings in accordance with Medical Council of India (MCI) super speciality medical facilities like Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Emergency and Trauma care, which are badly required in the region.There shall be paid, private rooms and suites to accommodate the patients who can afford.

WIMS is committed to contribute to the environment and natural resources conservation and improve the living standards of local communities including large tribal population. Wayanad is one among the rare districts in India with 15% indigenous tribal population totaling to 100,000 in 13 sub-sects.
WIMS will develop a sustainable campus that reflects environmental, cultural and social responsibilities and values across teaching and learning. WIMS green campus will be a Botanical Garden that enrich the environment: Renewable energy projects, Carbon neutrality activities like reduction of energy demand through minimal use of motor vehicles etc. Each student joining WIMS shall have a opportunity to plant and nurture a tree throughout his campus life, to be its mentor for life and get attached to the Mother Earth.
